When Hampstead comes back as a reconstituted town January 1, 2006, we will face unprecedented challenges but we also have exciting opportunities. Thanks to the dramatic demerger battle, many residents who never thought much about our small local community, now realize how important our town is. Many of you helped in big and small ways to get our town back. In the coming years I expect to see more community involvement, more volunteers, and more participation in all the activities that Hampstead offers.

On the political front, many of my most active and determined volunteers in the demerger battle are running for seats on council. For the first time in Hampstead's history, voters will have many, many excellent candidates to choose from.

I am running for Mayor because I believe that I can apply the same energy, work ethic, determination and vision to the building of a much better Hampstead as I brought to the demerger campaign. I grew up in Hampstead and raised my children here. I know how wonderful our town was and I am committed and passionate about rebuilding our quality of life.
